Terms of Service

Last Updated: August 2026

Welcome to Stackwave Digital. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Scope of Services

Stackwave Digital provides custom web development, user interface design, software engineering, and digital marketing services. The specific scope, timeline, and deliverables for each project will be outlined in a separate proposal or service agreement provided to the client before work begins.

2. Payment Terms

Deposits & Invoicing

Projects typically require an upfront deposit before development or design work commences. The remaining balance is due upon project completion or according to the milestones agreed upon in the project proposal.

Late Payments

Failure to clear outstanding invoices may result in the suspension of services, including website hosting or ongoing maintenance.

Currency

Payments are processed securely via Paystack. While we serve an international client base, billing currencies and final settlement amounts will be clearly stated on your invoice.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

Upon receipt of full and final payment, the client is granted full ownership and intellectual property rights to the final code, design assets, and completed digital products. Stackwave Digital retains the right to display the completed project in our portfolio and marketing materials unless a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed. We retain ownership of any pre-existing code libraries, internal tools, or proprietary frameworks used during development.

4. Revisions and Approvals

Projects include a set number of revision rounds as defined in the initial agreement. Additional revisions, scope creep, or requests outside the original project scope will be billed at an hourly rate or quoted separately.

5. Refund Policy

Due to the custom nature of software development and digital design, we do not offer full refunds once work has commenced. If a project is canceled by the client mid-development, any payments made for work already completed will be retained, and the client will be billed for any uncompensated hours logged up to the date of cancellation.

6. Limitation of Liability

Stackwave Digital strives to deliver high-quality, bug-free code. However, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the websites or web applications we develop. Clients are responsible for ensuring their digital products comply with local laws and industry regulations.
